Becoming the Influence of Your Own Life
For years much of my writing and thoughts in my mind stayed in the pages of my journals.
Writing has always been the easiest way to communicate. I, for too long, hated the sound of my own voice, until I remembered that it wasn’t my voice I hated, it was the unconscious thoughts spoken out loud from the mouths of others that I believed to be true for too many years. The inner judgements created from believing in external opinions.
So… there was a side of me, my light, that lived in silence and existed in the pages of journals. I have grown to appreciate this voice, and threat, which challenged me to rise above my own inner critic.
When you realize that the deeper meaning of life is to be more than just existing, more than merely surviving, something profound awakens.
You begin to recognize yourself as spirit, as energy moving through time. You start to see that you are the influence, the common denominator in the life you are living. With wonder and curiosity, your inner and outer vision expand, and your reflection becomes like the milky softness of the Milky Way, dreamy, luminous, infinite.
You begin to understand that you were never dropped into the wilderness and told simply to survive.
You were placed in a world overflowing with wisdom, around you and within you. And the only true requirement has always been this: the willingness to quiet the mind long enough to hear the voice of God, Creator, the Divine.
The way is not found in the busyness of the mind or in the noise of opinion.
It is found in the stillness where breath becomes presence, where presence becomes truth.
Breathe deeply into yourself.
You came here to be fully alive in your life. Not living inside the reflection or expectations of another.
Your life is not defined by one single image.
It is a disco ball of light, colourfully reflecting, refracting, and revealing wisdom in 360 degrees.
Life is not a straight line
It is a spiral, always moving, always returning, always remembering. And in the end, there is only one door, a destination we all share. What shapes your experience here, is how you choose to walk through each day.
Life will challenge you.
You will walk alongside others and feel the ache of their endings, just as someone will one day feel the ache of yours.
What you do, how you love, how you rise, and how you live will ultimately be determined by the voices you choose to trust and the guidance you allow to shape your path, that includes the ones that speak from within.
