Embracing The Light Within

My peace came when I released the viruses of anger and fear that had contaminated my mind for so long. There is a glimmer of hope and a light today and everyday. That light is in me and it is in you. Sometimes you have to pause and reflect, “Is this serving my soul?”

@suzanne_sagmeister_photography walked me through this journey and captured the stages of an unfolding of a story from my ego and brought it into the light of my existence. In between it all I found a peace within me to just let go. I walked a path that many had walked, but that day it had become mine, and I walked among those who could see the essence of my soul.

Sometimes we don’t recognize that the emotions of anger and filtered stories of those who did love and care for us, were pushed away in a moment of disagreement, argument, or fear of being hurt. Most of the time these situations could have been fixed with a simple, “I’m sorry,” or “I forgive you.” Reality is that those same people and what put you together, was a common story. A mirror reflection of the internal struggle of jealousy and judgement we subconsciously have when we choose to let the fear of the unknown hold us back while others have made a choice to leap towards joy and happiness. The real emotion is often sadness that our fears and trauma have held us back.

Release the attachment to the fear, forgive, and take a good look at what has brought you together in the first place. Remember, that piece is still there inside both of you.

I truly love even those who have turned their backs on me. I forgive the harsh words for they made me stronger and gave me the strength I needed to dig deep, for in forgiving others I learned to forgive myself.

I believe we are here to dance, and my leaving this earth song will be Garth Brooks, “The Dance”. Living a life of More Than Existing™ has taken me to realize that I may have experienced all of this, but the moments of joy were still there along the way. I forgive myself forever letting those moments slip away or forgetting to remind someone of them before it was too late. Today, forgive yourself and remember to dance.

If I were to leave this earth tomorrow, I can now say I have danced! #morethanexistingwithcorriethorne
