You are more than the roles you play
We often over-identify with our titles and roles—mother, partner, leader, healer, provider. While they offer purpose and belonging, clinging too tightly comes with a cost.
There are real reasons and causes that rise from the unresolved and unrecognized patterns, especially if you are repeating what you seen and heard. The fear of being invisible without a role is a big one. An exhausting one is external validation over inner truth. The old faithful one, conditioned to believe that love or safety must be earned. Another upside down belief is confusing self-worth with productivity or sacrifice.
What do I mean by the shadow of Over-Identifying & Over-Extending?
Here are some examples and sometimes it’s hard to be honest with self about the why to our our behaviours, habits, and patterns, but the reflection, the lack of energy, the chronic emotional pain, hurt and resentment are reflecting an undeniable energy outward. Let’s also include a sensitive attachment to isms here as well.
Control — needing to be indispensable keeps others dependent.
Martyrdom — sacrificing self to feel valued.
Resentment — quietly building because your needs remain unmet.
Identity crisis — feeling lost when the role shifts or ends.
When we live only through these external identities, the shadow creeps in—we may unconsciously/consciously use roles to avoid vulnerability, to mask wounds of unworthiness, or to maintain power and belonging. These shadows drain life force energy that’s why it’s important to recognize and make changes towards enhancing life and not living exhausted and over extended. They keep us performing instead of being. They tether our worth to what is temporary, instead of the eternal truth of our soul. Forever seeking temporary satisfaction verse long term substantially.
Today’s energy is an invite to ask yourself, “Am I showing up from love—or from fear of losing relevance, value, or control?”
Remember, your worth is not defined by what you give away or the title you hold. Your worth is inherent, untouchable, and alive within you. It’s the identity of the soul’s truth and not the lies you tell yourself or that others conditioned you to believed as truth.
This is why I created More Than Existing. It’s our personal responsibility to persevere and maintain living a life where you are more than a servant to your fears and insecurities.
Mediumship is more than a message about what they are doing in spirit world. Yes, it’s powerful and insightful, but what happens afterwards? Spirit is always reminding us to live the life they forgot to live, didn’t live, or denied themselves of living. The guidance is in paying attention to the, “Why of your choices” and about the reconnection to yourself as a living spirit in the human body, to the voice, and the essence of your soul purpose.
I communicate with the part of you that too often is ignored.
