Wine & Chips
A story of a grape who knew she would . . .
Let us toast together as we raise a glass to the voiceless! Those who were never to find a voice of love, for the stories of anger and frustrations have now seen the light and a desire to create has broken the glass. My hope is that no longer will a label placed by another define the worth of this grape or the many others who share the vine! This story is written on behalf of many women. A story of the truth we are censored to speak as a world of free speech are illusions of a truth that has always been a lie. A lifetime of defending the truth, going against the so-called norm, and squishing the voice of the ones made of the same kind of substance but perhaps embodied with a different flavor. A realization that I had given my power over to another the day I was plucked from the vine. Raised to believe that the sour taste of the distasteful I would have to accept as good enough for me. Is that good enough for you?

Wine & Chips. A story of the grape who knew she would. Published by Amazon, May 5, 2024
Today is a day we are not just excited for but also so grateful. I (Corrie), myself has now moved so beyond the days of the writings of Wine & Chips, it is difficult to recollect the thoughts and emotions experienced at the time. I do however remember feeling this sense of joy in the ability to laugh at myself while still taking my life so seriously. I knew I wanted to not be afraid to sit with the shadow of my existence and heal the voice that was screaming from inside to have a voice. Inspired by a joking comment from my husband suggesting that I should write a book about drinking wine and eating chips as that was what I was doing best at the time sparked a fire inside of me that bought to life a grape named Rose, and a deep dialogue began as the story came to life.
Patiently Rose and the book sat in draft form for a few years waiting until the right time, and the right time was during the healing of my spinal surgery in January of 2024. I still am in awe that Lisa Richard, the editor, architectural builder, and soul sister stepped up and in to come stay with me during this time of recovery when my Mom had to return to Newfoundland after nurturing me with her love in the earliest stages of surgical proceedings, and when my husband needed to return to work.
Together we embarked on the journey page-by-page, chapter-by-chapter, stepping into the stories and diving into the heart of the words, reading and feeling our way through. We allowed the medicine of the channeled messages to enter in and break us wide open, guiding us through the beautiful process of editing and artistically holding onto the creation of the expression of what were truths at the time. I have since energetically released my stories contained within the pages of Wine & Chips and now this is not my story but yours if you should choose to step into the pages and walk the journey with Rose.
I would like to take a moment to also acknowledge the creative design of Amelia Richard, the artist who took my sketch of the cover and turned it into a beautiful masterpiece. Women supporting women is the way we grow and no one can convince me of any other truth.
We are forever grateful and we hope this book inspires something beautiful within you to live celebrating you and your why!
Much love,
Corrie, Lisa, Rose, and the Divine
